CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
We are once again gearing up for our annual extravaganza which is the Christmas Bazaar !!!
Date: 29th November
Time: 2.30 – 5.00
Venue: Raffeen Creek Sports Club (formally known as Phizers)
What can you do to help???
We are a very small committee so desperately need your help for some of or all of the following:-
- Initial set up on Saturday afternoon 28th, transporting items from the school to the venue
- Setting up stalls on Sunday from 9.00 onwards
- Manning a stand, its great fun and all you need is a good sense of humour (even just for an hour would be a massive help.
- Packing away after the Bazaar and help clearing up
- Transporting leftover items back to the school for sorting on Monday morning 30th
If you could spare an hour or two of your time over the weekend it would be greatly appreciated and you will be supplied with mugs of tea and possibly a custard cream !!!!!! Contact Tracy on 087 1701419 or speak with any committee member to offer your help.

What we need
- Any pre loved toys for our toy stall
- Books, DVD’s or games (skylanders, Nintendo etc
- Unwanted gifts or toys for the new kids tombola stall
- Cakes, cookies or cupcakes
- Prizes suitable for the raffle
Please bring to the Halla from Monday 16th November onwards
Attached you will find an entry form for a craft competition we are running at the Bazaar this year it is open to all pupils of Shanbally NS and we would love as many children as possible to get involved, there is something for everyone, so get them building that lego and painting that picture!!
Other dates for your diary:
Money for Everyman Theatre Panto tickets must be in by Monday 14th at the latest.
The clothing recycling will be collected from the school on Tuesday 01st December please bring recyclables (clothes, shoes handbags etc must be in saleable condition) to the Halla anytime during normal school hours on Monday 30th, more details will be posted on our Facebook page nearer the time.
Santa is paying a visit to the school on December 21st and he will have a small present for all pupils.
We are taking delivery of the 50th Anniversary posters and they will be available to buy from Wednesday 18th November from Ruth, they are A3 poster size and will be €3 unframed and will make the perfect keepsake or stocking filler; these will also be available to buy at the Bazaar.
And finally:-
Huge thanks to the small number of parents and teachers who supported our Bingo Evening in the Ferry Boat Inn, we managed to raise €590 despite small numbers a great achievement to all involved, much fun was had by all and we definitely saw the competitive side to many … mentioning no names (Mr Nolan!!).
We must also thank the locals and staff of the Ferry Boat Inn for making the night so enjoyable.
